Today we analyzed the Declaration of Independence and the organization of the document. First, the colonists described their natural rights and what they expected from Great Britain, next the colonists list their grievances (or complaints) towards King George, and lastly they declare their independence. Now you are to write a "break-up" letter to someone using the same format the colonists used in the Dec. of Ind. Your letter can be written to anyone that you are cutting ties with (significant other, friend, government, etc.) but you must write it in the same format as the Dec. of Ind. Each section should be 3 sentences. Due 9/11-9/12
